| 抄録: | Since the Brexit referendum and the election of Donald Trump in 2016, the term “populism” has become popular and widespread. However, it is difficult to say that there is a common understanding of what populism is. Based on recent research findings in political science, this paper discusses the following issues: the definitions of populism; the logic of populism; the populist political style; and the relationship between democracy and populism. Finally, I will examine some explanations for the rise of populism. |
